Chapter 11 - The Alpine Summit

Twelve hours later, the private jet sliced through the jagged, snow-capped peaks of the Swiss Alps. Below lay the fortified mountain compound of the World Wealth Registry—an impenetrable bunker carved inside a granite glacier.

Inside the pressurized cabin, Leo sat at a conference table, a cup of warm milk held carefully between his tiny hands. Vance, dressed in a borrowed black trench coat, watched the radar screen intently.

""Radar picked up three interceptor drones coming off the Zurich vector,"" Vance reported grimly. ""Cross is already inside the vault. If he enters his override code, he erases all record of his debt and re-establishes his global monopoly.""

""Then we don't land,"" Leo replied calmly, setting his mug down without spilling a drop. ""We drop.""

""Drop?"" Claire looked at him, horrified. ""Leo, you weigh thirty-five pounds! A parachute won't even open fast enough!""

""I don't need a parachute,"" Leo said, unbuttoning his soiled blazer to reveal an integrated carbon-fiber wingsuit tailored specifically to toddler dimensions. ""I have low terminal velocity and excellent aerodynamics.""

Vance stared at the tiny boy in disbelief. ""You’re insane. You’re literally a baby.""

""I am a disruptive innovator, Officer,"" Leo said, tightening his chin strap. ""Open the cargo bay.""

The rear ramp lowered, unleashing a blast of freezing sub-zero air and swirling snow into the cabin. Below them, the sprawling glass dome of the Alpine bunker gleamed like an ominous jewel amidst the white peaks.

Leo gave a single, professional nod. ""See you in the lobby.""

He dove headfirst into the abyss.
