Chapter 7 - The UnlockingDr. Thorne keyed his master badge into the terminal. The red light flickered green, and the heavy iron gate slid back with a hydraulic hiss.
Rachel walked out of the stall, not running, but stepping deliberately. Behind her, Goliath stepped forward to the threshold, his dark eyes following her, letting out a soft whinny that silenced everyone in the corridor.
"Tyler tried to coerce a false confession from me," Rachel said, looking directly at the security officers. "He claimed I stole your board exam. But the real crime isn't an exam paper."
She opened her palm, revealing the surgical tape and the small drive.
"Chloe hid this in Goliath’s mane before Tyler ran her off the road last Thursday," Rachel continued, her voice trembling with righteous fury. "Tyler wasn't trying to punish me for an exam. He was using the exam theft as a cover-up to search my lockers and Chloe’s station, hunting for the log records."

Tyler lunged forward. "She’s lying! She’s an unranked scholarship student desperate to stay in the program!"
"Shut up, Tyler," Chloe spoke for the first time. Her voice was steady, cutting through Tyler's hysterical outburst. "I spent the last forty-eight hours at the state police barracks. They already have the chain-of-custody warrants for your father’s stables. That drive contains the audio recordings of you threatening to kill Goliath if I didn't forge the injection schedules."
