Chapter 15 - The Unbroken Circle

Six months later, the banner hanging across the grand entryway of Vance Global Holdings proudly displayed the company’s restored original crest: Vance & Sons Global. Clara sat behind the expansive mahogany desk on the sixty-fifth floor, looking out over the vibrant, sunlit skyline of the city. Her office had been redecorated; resting right beside her laptop was the old faded photograph of Jax holding her as a baby, framed in simple brushed silver. “The international shipping terminals are fully secured, and the board has unanimously approved the new community trust fund,” Jax reported, a rare, proud smile touching his lips as he looked at his daughter.
“Good,” Clara said, standing up from her desk and walking over to join them by the floor-to-ceiling windows. She adjusted the silver locket resting against her chest. “Because we have a global expansion meeting in ten minutes, and I expect everyone to be on time.”
Julian chuckled, handing her a cup of coffee. “You sound more like your grandfather every single day, Clara.”
