The elevator doors slid open with a soft chime, revealing the opulent executive boardroom bathed in harsh sunlight filtering through shattered floor-to-ceiling windows. Elena stood by the panoramic glass wall, calm and composed, holding a remote detonator while a dozen heavily armed mercenaries formed a defensive wall around her desk. She smiled coldly, mocking Moretti’s arrival and claiming that the entire building was wired with explosives that would erase every trace of their corporate empire in seconds. Moretti didn't flinch; instead, he signaled Jax, who burst through the emergency stairwell door on the opposite side of the floor, creating a chaotic crossfire that caught the mercenaries completely off guard. In the ensuing firefight, Moretti surged forward across the polished mahogany floor, dodging a hail of bullets to tackle Elena before she could press the detonator button. The remote clattered across the floor, sliding out of reach as Elena fought back with desperate fury, hissing venomous insults about how she always intended to finish what she started.
