Chapter 15 - Horizons of Peace

As the party ended and dusk settled over the small town, Jax and Toby walked home along the winding dirt path that led to their cottage. The night sky was clear, filled with countless bright stars spanning the valley.

Jax held his son’s hand, feeling the steady, trusting grip of the young boy beside him. The old faded photograph remained in his wallet, no longer a painful reminder of what had been lost, but a testament to how far they had traveled.

"Dad?" Toby asked, looking up at the night sky.

"Yeah, son?"

"Are we going to be okay now?"

Jax stopped, kneeling down on the path to look his son directly in the eyes. The fear, guilt, and anger that had once haunted his life were entirely gone, replaced by a deep, enduring purpose.

"We are more than okay, Toby," Jax said, his voice warm and steady. "We’re home."

They continued walking together into the quiet night, their shadows merging on the path forward—a father and son healed by truth, bound by love, and anchored in lasting peace.
