The tension within the mansion reached a boiling point over the next few days. Julian tried to restrict Ethan’s access to the estate, threatening legal action and attempting to hire security to block him from reaching the east wing. But Ethan was no longer the passive brother who quietly accepted the status quo.
He contacted his late father’s trusted family lawyer, Mr. Vance, presenting the evidence found in Arthur’s ledger. Mr. Vance was appalled by the findings and immediately initiated emergency legal proceedings to transfer legal guardianship of Lily to Ethan.
Realizing he was losing his grip on power, Julian attempted to transfer Lily to a distant medical facility overnight under the guise of an "urgent health evaluation." But Victoria, guilt-ridden after watching Ethan’s unconditional devotion to the young girl, finally broke her silence. She secretly alerted Ethan to Julian’s plan, allowing Ethan to intervene just as a medical transport arrived at the rear gates.
