Chapter 13 - The Trial of Truth**

Three months later.

The grand marble pillars of the United States District Court in Washington D.C. towered over a massive crowd of journalists, news vans, and peaceful protesters holding signs demanding justice. The release of the "Vance Files" had triggered the biggest political earthquake in modern history, leading to the arrest of dozens of corrupt politicians, high-ranking intelligence officials, and corporate leaders across the globe.

Inside the quiet, oak-paneled courtroom, Arthur sat at the defense table. He wore a crisp blue suit, his left arm resting in a black sling underneath his jacket. Though his face bore new scars from the cabin assault, his eyes were clear, serene, and devoid of the burden he had carried for over a decade.

Beside him sat his legal defense team, provided by a coalition of public interest civil rights groups. On the witness stand sat Agent Victoria Vance, wearing an orange correctional jumpsuit, testifying under oath about her role in the conspiracy and fully confirming the authenticity of the records provided by Arthur and Clara.

The judge knocked his gavel on the wooden bench, bringing the noisy courtroom to absolute silence.

"In light of the extraordinary evidence presented," the judge announced, his voice echoing off the high ceilings, "and considering the defendant's heroic actions to expose rampant, systemic illegal activity that threatened national democratic institutions, this court finds Arthur Vance innocent of all treason and espionage charges."

A roar of applause erupted throughout the gallery. Photographers flashed their cameras wildly as reporters rushed toward the exit doors to broadcast the breaking news. Arthur stood up slowly, nodding respectfully toward the judge and his defense team, feeling the immense weight of ten years finally lifting off his shoulders.

As the crowd poured out into the hallway, Arthur walked out into the bright sunlight on the courtroom steps.
