Chapter 11 - Descent into Heathrow

The pilot’s voice signaled the initial descent into London Heathrow. The flight attendants walked through the cabin, collecting trash and reminding passengers to stow their belongings.
Elena stood up, taking Maya’s hand. "We have to go back to our seats for landing. The regulations are strict about seatbelts and assigned cabins."
Julian felt a sharp pang of reluctance. For eight hours, these two strangers had formed the emotional backbone of his survival. The thought of watching them disappear into the bustling crowds of Terminal 5 felt unbearable.
"Wait," Julian said. He grabbed a business card from his wallet, writing a personal cell phone number and an address on the back. "Please. Keep this. If you need anything in London—legal help with visas, medical certifications, anything—call me."
Elena took the card, her fingers brushing his. "Thank you, Julian. But you've already given us something invaluable today. You treated us as equals."

Maya leaned over, kissing Leo’s forehead one last time. "Goodbye, little Leo. Be good to your daddy. He loves you very much."
With that, they slipped past the blue curtain, returning to row 38 as the aircraft descended through the thick English cloud cover.
