Chapter 13 - The Forgotten Clue

Reluctantly, Julian followed his driver toward the exit doors. As he reached into his leather travel satchel to grab his passport pouch, his fingers brushed against a piece of paper.
It was Maya’s drawing.
Julian pulled it out, looking at the pencil sketch of himself, Leo, and Clara watching from above. As he turned the paper over, he noticed faint blue ink scribbled in child’s handwriting on the back:
Aunt Martha’s Garden: Rose Cottage, Blackheath Lane, SE3.
Maya had written down their destination while drawing during the flight. A quiet smile spread across Julian’s face. The little girl had left behind a bridge, anticipating that adults often lacked the courage to cross it on their own.
"Change of plans," Julian said, stepping into the sleek black sedan.

"Sir?" the driver asked, glancing in the rearview mirror.
"We aren't going to the hotel in Mayfair," Julian said, strapping Leo’s travel carrier securely into the backseat. "Take us to Blackheath Lane."
