Chapter 6 - The Paper Fortress FallsMarcus spent the next two weeks inside the 32nd-floor boardroom of Vance Global Logistics. The mahogany conference table was littered with audit binders, forensic accounting spreadsheets, and legal affidavits.

Across the table, three senior board members sat in muted panic.

"We had no knowledge of Victoria’s shell corporations," Vice Chairman Sterling insisted, loosening his tie. "We signed the resolutions based on executive trust."

"You signed them because she gave each of you an eight percent kickback disguised as consulting retainers through an LLC in Delaware," Marcus replied, tossing three blue folders onto the table. "Every transaction is flagged by the Department of Justice."

The men stared at the documents, their faces blanching.

"I'm not liquidating the company," Marcus continued, standing tall. "I am placing all commercial assets into a blind public trust. Fifty percent of future logistics revenues will be redirected to the port workers' pension fund David created before his accident. The rest goes toward clean audits and community revitalization."

"No," Marcus answered calmly. "I'm finally paying the family’s debts."
