The grand auditorium of the Vance Financial Center was packed with over a thousand shareholders, institutional investors, and international media outlets. Flashbulbs illuminated the vast auditorium as Marcus Vance walked onto the stage. The silver-haired patriarch stood before the podium, looking out over the crowded room with supreme composure.
""Ladies and gentlemen,"" Marcus began, his voice commanding and resonant. ""For forty years, I have steered Vance Global through crises, expansions, and market upheavals. But an empire cannot rely solely on the past. It requires vision, unyielding strength, and the courage to protect its legacy against all odds. Effective immediately, I am stepping down as Chief Executive Officer.""
A collective gasp echoed through the auditorium. Murmurs broke out across the rows of seated analysts.
""Allow me to introduce my successor,"" Marcus smiled warmly, stepping aside and gesturing toward the wings of the stage. ""The new Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Vance Global—Clara Vance.""
The double doors parted. Clara walked onto the stage with effortless majesty. She wore an immaculate, tailored midnight-blue power suit, her hair styled in sleek, professional waves, her neck adorned with the legendary Vance sapphire pendant. Her stride was confident, regal, and completely unapologetic. Walking alongside her was Liam Bennett, standing as the newly appointed head of corporate security, while Raymond Cross followed with the official corporate seal.
The audience erupted into sustained, deafening applause. The very people who had watched Julian slander her name on national television weeks ago were now witnessing her triumphant ascent to the pinnacle of global commerce.
Clara approached the podium, raising a hand to gracefully quiet the room.
