Chapter 13 - The Legacy of Sarah’s Garden

In the spring, Elena designed a memorial garden on the grounds where Sarah Miller’s family home had once stood. Native wildflowers, white roses, and lavender were planted in abundance, creating a peaceful sanctuary for visitors seeking solace.
A stone monument was placed at the center of the garden, inscribed with a simple message:
*"To those who spoke when no one listened. Your truth endures."*
On the morning of the garden’s dedication, local residents gathered to plant seeds together. Children ran through the stone pathways, their laughter filling the air that had once been dominated by heavy silence.
Julian stood beside Elena as she placed a white rose at the base of the monument. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulling her close.
"Do you still hear the house?" Julian asked quietly.

Elena looked up at the sunny sky, listening to the gentle rustle of leaves and the sound of birds in the garden. "No," she replied softly. "The house is quiet now. It doesn't need to shout anymore."
